From Adam Smith to Friedrich Hayek to Joseph Schumpeter to Arthur Laffer, there have been many fantastic economists who contributed greatly to the understanding of free market capitalism, the institution that has been the most amazing human miracle in world history.
But perhaps no economist was more brilliant or forward looking than Milton Friedman. You can read just a taste of his genius here or watch him articulate individualism, limited government and free market principles here, here, and here.
Friedman sadly passed away in November 2006, but this weekend would have marked his 99th birthday.
In honor and celebration of Friedman and the tried and true principles he so valiantly stood for, the Michigan chapter of Americans For Prosperity is hosting a dinner tonight in Utica at the Macomb GOP center.
Make sure you RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org, but otherwise, admission to the event is free!
There will be pizza, pop, beer, and birthday cake. The doors open at 7 PM, and the program starts at 7:30, whereupon an unnamed speaker is suppose to give a message.
If you are interested in politics and have nothing else to do this Friday evening, please drive up to 13285 Hall Road and enjoy tasty food and lively discussion.
And if you’re a Liberal/Progressive, please drive up to Utica anyways so that us believers in free market capitalism can debate you!
