The founder of the Texas Equusearch Group, Tim Miller, is in talks with lawyers to go after the Casey Anthony family in court to pay back the funds they used searching for Caylee Anthony. Miller says Casey, George and Cindy should be responsible to pay back the money used, as they searched for a missing child after given a bogus story. His lawyers are considering filing a lawsuit against the Anthony’s to recoup the money the group spent in the month long search, according to Miller on Fox News today.
The real eye-opener that came out of Miller’s interview was the picture he verbally painted of Casey Anthony and her parents. They were a group of uncaring human beings, who were more concerned about Casey going to jail than finding Caylee. Miller says while he has no evidence, it is his belief that Cindy Anthony also knew what happened to Caylee at the time. She didn’t act like a person who was missing a loved one. She was worried that Casey would go to jail and Caylee missing was not the priority for her, leaving Miller with that impression.
The Texas Equusearch went to the Anthony home with some of his searchers to speak to the Anthony’s before and during the search. He said out of all the families that they helped in searching for a missing loved one, he had never seen anything like the Anthony’s. Casey was upbeat and smiling running around in her little shorts and offering the group something to drink.
When George came home, he said to this wife, “who is this clown I have to talk to from Texas,” meaning Tom Miller, who was there waiting to talk to George about the search. He said they were never thankful and they did not act at all like the typical family who was worried about finding a missing loved one. Looking back in hindsight, this is why Miller believes Cindy was aware of Caylee’s fate at that time.
His group came to search for Caylee when the nanny story was still going on. Their thought was to start a search in the area around the Anthony home. The searchers treaded through swamps, mud, and bushes for weeks looking for any sign of Caylee.
The group spent $112,000, which would normally not be something they would want back from the family, but they searched under false pretenses and Casey was present at her house the entire time knowing Caylee that Caylee was already dead. Miller said that airlines donate 50 tickets to the group each year so they can fly to any location where they are needed to embark on a search. They used 32 of the tickets for this search. These tickets could have been used for a real missing people.
The money the Texas Equusearch team spent was on travel, lodging and food. These are volunteers, they do not get paid for this, these people gave up a month of their lives to help out in the search for Caylee. Tim Miller appeared very sincere, hurt and angered with this family, they never thanked anyone and appeared as if the search party was a nuisance.
