Winning the 2005 top idol spot, Underwood’s phenomenal career was just beginning. Idol judge, Randy Jackson has called her, “the best American Idol of all time.”
Country legend, Loretta Lynn also recognized Underwood’s talents. Lynn said, “Carrie’s right on the beat. She’s done it. She’s great, she’s a great singer.” With praises galore, Underwood’s voice spans up to a four octave vocal range. Her unique talent and voice range immaculate pure distinction.
Country artist Brad Paisley worked with Underwood on several occasions, co-hosting the CMA Awards several times. Carrie shared her excitement about working with this year’s CMAs once again. “Hosting the CMA Awards the past three years has been an incredible experience –I love it,” she said. “I’m so honored to be asked back with my friend, Brad.”
Their recent collaboration, Remind Me, is just another reminder of how extensive her career has become. The song, co-written by Paisley, Chris DuBois, and Kelley Lovelace hit the No.1 spot on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck country airplay charts this week. This makes Remind Me Underwood’s 14th No. 1 single.
In May 2008, Underwood was officially inducted into the Grand Ole Opry by fellow artist, Garth Brooks. Her awards are too numerous to mention, winning almost every major music accolade.
In 2009, Underwood was presented with the ‘ACM Triple Crown Award’ representing the ‘Top New Artist’, ‘Top Female Vocalist,’ and ‘Entertainer of the Year,’ all won, during her short career.
