4 years and two children later, Brooke and David finally tie the knot in St. Bart’s in a secret ceremony.
The couple both wore white- David in a pair of casual linen pants and a white pin stripe button down with white boat shoes, and Brooke in a strapless chiffon mermaid style gown with ruffle layers and a chapel length train. From the pic we have, it seems like Brooke went without a veil, jewlery, or an elaborate hairstyle. The couple looked relaxed and casual.
The ceremony was held on a boat anchored off a private beach; officiated by the captain, and attended by the couple’s children and a few close friends.
They told no one, not even their mothers, that they were planning to tie the knot, Burke wrote on her Modern Mom blog. They even waited to tell their kids—daughter Rain and son Shaya are theirs together, while Burke has two daughters, Neriah and Sierra, from a previous marriage—until just days before they took off.
“Although I knew it would be one of Rain and Shaya’s happiest days, my two oldest daughters needed to warm up to the idea,” the Dancing With the Stars cohost wrote. “I gave them freedom to feel and participate as they wished. Thankfully, they supported me and opened their hearts to share in my special day, in trust of a deeper family commitment.”
The style of gown she wore was a simple strapless chiffon gown with a corset back and layered chiffon pieces that fell like layers of ruffles. Her look was efforlessly gorgeous, and a great gown for a boat wedding.
