When we move into a new home and finally get it completely decorated, we can sit back and seep it all in. All the planning and color choices have been made and articulated. What a joyous feeling of contetment and appreciation with a job well done. Life is good.
Six months or a year later when the dust settles and we now have time to contemplate on things, we may find our space to be a little bland or drap, a little stuffy and stiff. This is when adding some bling into our life can be the answer to an otherwise dull situation. Remember, a little bling goes a long way.
So what is bling you may ask? To me it is shiny, reflective, metallic, gilded gold, colored glass, a sparkly light or shimmery window treatments. As you see in todays’ fashion, there is an abundance of bronze, gold and silver metallics in shoes, sandals, jewelry and handbags, which are all accessories. As I have mentioned in previous articles, decorating our home or office space, restaurants and boutiques, is the same concept as if we are pulling our outfits together.
By making exciting and unique choices we may find by adding a little bling is all that is needed. By bringing in this element you will bring interest, individuality, conversation and the wow factor to your space. We can all use a little excitement to get out of our comfort zone and spark that creativity and energy we all have inside us. So have some fun with the bling. Till next time, all things beautiful.
