Although AMC may be in a little bit of a state of flux at the moment (see “The Walking Dead” for evidence), there is some good news — the network has just renewed “Breaking Bad” for a fifth season. Sixteen additional episodes have been ordered, which bodes well for the future of the Bryan Cranson show.
“Breaking Bad” has grown into a modest hit commercially for the network, and it has pulled in a healthy 4.3 million viewers for its most recent season. Granted, this is not anywhere near the numbers that “Walking Dead” brings in on a regular basis — but it is far better than the numbers have been for “Mad Men” as of late.
When it comes to awards, “Breaking Bad” has been a bit of a darkhorse in the Oustanding Drama Series category — however, Bryan Cranston has won the Best Actor award on a number of occasions.
Are you excited that the show is going to come back? (Update: we also now have the news that this tragically will be the end for the show.)
