Singer Brandy dusts off her “Moesha” acting chops this Sunday on “Drop Dead Diva,” where the singer-actress will attempt to convince audiences that her dying father’s life insurance policy isn’t getting paid out by his insurance company, causing Brandy (Elisa Shayne on “Diva”) to seek out Parker’s legal advice.
Don’t get too excited—Brandy has not been cast as a series regular. She’s just dipping her toes back into the acting pool, appearing in a 3-episode arc beginning this Sunday.
Check out Brandy’s brief Entertainment Weekly interview regarding her work on “Drop Dead Diva” here.
As of late, Brandy’s has been seen on television—it just hasn’t been of the scripted variety. In 2010, Brandy helped out her parents on VH1’s “Family Business” before later competing (and damn near almost winning) “Dancing with the Stars.”
