‘BoomBox is an American rock band, which was founded in 2004 by singer/songwriter Zion Godchaux on the guitar/lead vocals and producer/DJ Russ Randolph on sequencers, groove boxes and turn-tables. The duo met while recording the Heart of Gold Band album “At The Table,” with Zion’s mother Donna Jean Godchaux-Mackay, formerly of the Grateful Dead and soon after, formed BoomBox. BoomBox originates from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, known as a revolutionary hot spot for recording studios and creative artists in Rock and Roll and Rhythm and blues. BoomBox has incorporated some of this rich history into their music, allowing for the grand entrance of a greater style and fusion of Rock and Roll, Vintage Psychedelic and House. The band has played many notable concerts and venues, including appearances at The Oregon Country Fair, The Echo Project, Wakarusa Music & Camping Festival and Rothbury Music Festival.’ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BoomBox_(American_band
