The Black-n-Bluegrass Blackouts have traveled to Rockford, IL, for a bout tonight against the Rockford Rage, a team in the North Central Division of the WFTDA.
Rockford joined the WFTDA as a full member league on June 17, 2010 and since then have played three games against other WFTDA leagues. The last bout for the Rage was on June 25thwhere they lost to the Fox City Foxz138-108. Their two previous games were against Tri-City (3/19/2011) and Demolition City (2/12/2011) where the Rage came up short 191-28 and 325-49 respectively.
For the Blackouts, their last bout was against the Circle City Socialites where they won 153-129 in front of their home crowd at Midwest Hoops in Florence, Kentucky.
The last meeting of these teams came on May 21stwhere BBRG won, and by a good margin 173-66. The Rage are looking for some payback, and are hoping it comes in front of their home fans.
For those of you in the area, the doors open at 6:00 PM, and the Indoor Sports Center 8800 E. Riverside Blvd. Loves Park, IL 61111tickets are $5.00 and $10.00. A portion of the proceeds from the bout will go to the Rockford Rescue Missionan organization that offers Food, Crisis, and Life Services as well as Community Outreach to those in need.
