Fans of the Big Brother know Wednesday night is all about the Veto and strategy, strategy, oh and strategy. This week was no different in the house. Everyone was plotting against each other (including alliance members). Daniele tried to seal her alliance with Dominic/Brenchel, Jeff/Jordan worked on their alliance with Brenchel, Porsche, Adam, and Dominic tried to seal a deal with Brenchel… for a moment it seemed like the Brenchel show once again… but Dominic change the game when he showed his naïve gameplay in the Big Brother house (which airs channel 5 in Phoenix Wednesday/Thursday/Sunday).
Of course, Rachel’s HOH and the elimination is one day away, so everyone is scrambling to make their deals with the head of household. Next week it will be a different show, and some of the strategic moves that have been made over this week may have sealed certain house member fates.
The first half of the hour was all about who was going to win power of veto. Brendon and Rachel wanted it so they could keep complete control in the house(not necessarily a smart game move because it only paints a larger target on their back, but nonetheless it’s how they played the game the last season they were on, and they’re being consistent this season). Dominic agreed to throw the veto(another show of his inexperience in the Big Brother house-didn’t Keith do that first week out? And look what happened to him). Adam is become a big flip-flopping fish. So any alliances he may have our precarious to say the least(he must know this because he tried this week to win the veto). Jeff and Jordan were the other players in the veto competition. They simply wanted to keep the nominations the same(if Brenchel were more strategic they would have let Jeff or Jordan win, so someone else could get their hands dirty).
The actual competition was a spelling competition. Not only did the hairy legs freak Jeff out, but he started to have ‘technotronic’ nightmares again. But, Rachel won the prize for best misspelled word as she tried to spell out moisturizing. The game was down to Jeff and Brendon and Brendon won the veto with the word understanding.
Daniele attempted to convince Brendon and Rachel to backdoor Jeff and Jordan (also she could keep her pawn Dominic around a little bit longer). Brenchel considered this for a moment, but quickly decided to support their alliance with Jeff and Jordan. The reason?
Dominic(in his brilliance) wanted more support in the house, so he approached Shelly to create another alliance. What he didn’t count on was Shelly’s alliance to Jeff and Jordan. When Dominic told Shelly that his goal was to evict Brendon and Jeff as quickly as possible (Rachel and Jordan would no longer be a threat). She played along long enough for him to turn his back and ran straight to Jordan. Moments later Jordan ran straight to Brendon and Rachel. Effectively sealing Dominic fate this week, and quite possibly Daniele’s fate next week, depending on who wins HOH.
Everything can change on Thursday night’s elimination, but Dominic and Danielle have pretty big targets on their back this point. When you think will be going home Thursday night? Do you think the alliance between Jeff/Jordan and Brandon/Rachel will continue to hold? Do you think Danielle will be able to fix the rift she has created in her own alliance? Would you like to see more gameplay from the newbies? As always your opinion matters please feel free to leave a comment below.
