The latest PoV competition took place in the “Big Brother 13” house Saturday (August 27). As reported in the last spoilers update, the houseguests have returned to working in pairs because Porsche opened Pandora’s Box in her HOH room. Rachel is this week’s Power of Veto winner, which means that her new partner Jordan is also safe, and that they both still have a good chance of making it to the final 2 despite losing their strongest ally, Big Jeff of Chicago, in the double eviction.
The PoV competition was similar to the first week’s HOH comp, where they had to hold on to a dummy of their evicted partner for as long as possible instead of a banana. Because Rachel and Jordan are safe from eviction this week, Adam and Shelly will automatically go on the block on Monday.
Shelly is almost certain she’ll be evicted this week, but she’s already trying to throw Adam under the bus by suggesting that he secretly has a special power given to him by the Big Brother house’s fortune teller machine. In reality, she has been messing with it since the “Do Not Disturb” sign was removed Saturday in the hopes that it will grant her some special power, but has had no suck luck thus far.

Meanwhile, Adam is still floating between the two pairs (J/R and K/P), with both duos trying to get him on their side. More than likely he’ll just continue to float to whichever side has the power that week, which has been his strategy all season. While Kalia and Porsche still want Adam to be evicted because they think they have a much better shot against Shelly, it would not be a surprise to see Rachel and Jordan get their revenge by evicting Shelly after she turned on them last week.
However, the latest big development in the Big Brother house is that Shelly and Jordan finally had a sit-down conversation about what happened, which involved some arguing and lots of tears. Jordan explained that she felt backstabbed after trusting her all season. Shelly just listened until explaining why she felt she had to do it to advance her game, and to win the money for her family. Eventually, they hugged and apologized to each other for lashing out at each other.

So far, Sunday has been a relatively quiet day, with some campaigning from both Shelly and Adam, and game talk between Rachel and Jordan. Despite making amends with Shelly, Jordan and Rachel are still leaning towards evicting her on Thursday because she’s better at manipulating people, and they know she can’t be trusted.
They’re also aware that Adam will float to whoever’s in power, and that both Shelly and Adam have only been nicer to them since Rachel won the veto. Shelly has already made her pitch to R/J by telling them she’ll throw the next HOH to them if she stays. She claims that she doesn’t want Adam, Kalia or Porsche to win the game because they don’t deserve it. She also insists that she’s with the Vets, and hasn’t made any deals with the other side.

Update: As expected, Rachel used the veto to save her and Jordan from eviction on Monday. Shelly and Adam are now officially the replacement nominees.
On a more somber note, TMZ is reporting that Shelly’s family has been receiving death threats over Jeff’s eviction, including threats of violence against her 8-year-old daughter. The company she works for has also been receiving harassing phone calls urging them to fire Shelly. This should come as a remainder for everyone that “Big Brother” is just a game, and should not be taken this seriously, especially when kids are involved.
Tune in Thursday to find out whether Shelly or Adam is the next person evicted from the Big Brother house.
