‘Big Brother 13’ spoilers: HOH nominations for Week 8, plus a new twist revealed

The “Big Brother 13” houseguests started the season in pairs, and now, due to a new twist that was introduced before the HOH nomination ceremony Friday (August 26), the duos are back in play for the week. In case you missed the last spoilers update, Porsche won the second HOH competition on Thursday following the evictions of Daniele Donato and Chicago contestant Jeff Schroeder.

UPDATE: ‘Big Brother 13’ spoilers – PoV competition winner for Week 8

The revival of the pairs twist occurred after Porsche opened Pandora’s Box in exchange for $5,000. The new duos are Porsche/Kalia, Rachel/Jordan and Adam/Shelly. As expected, Porsche has nominated Rachel and Jordan for eviction, but this new twist may throw a wrench in her plans.

Originally, she was set to nominate Rachel and Adam, with Rachel as the target, but was talked out of the idea by Adam, who feared that Jordan would win the veto and save Rachel. Just before opening Pandora’s Box, Porsche made up her mind to put Rachel and Jordan on the block to ensure that one of them is evicted this week. However, now that the hamsters are playing in pairs again, if Rachel/Jordan win the veto, they’ll both be safe for the week, and Porsche will be forced to nominate Adam/Shelly in their place.

Shelly is already on edge because she knows that if she’s on the block against Adam, she’ll be sent off to the jury house to join Brendon, Jeff and Daniele. Meanwhile, Rachel and Jordan are finally in a better mood now that they know they both have a shot to remain in the Big Brother house. However, they have mostly continued to isolate themselves from the rest of the house, and there’s still plenty of tension between Shelly and Jordan. Jordan did admit to being embarrassed about her behavior towards Shelly yesterday, and hopes that her family won’t be disappointed in the way she acted.

During a conversation about who they would vote for in the end, Rachel and Jordan agreed that they would want Kalia to win over the others because she’s played a relatively good game, and they think that Brendon and Jeff would vote the same way. Rachel also not only revealed to Jordan that she and Brendon had sex in the house (no surprise to feed watchers), but that she thinks she might be pregnant because she’s two weeks late and doesn’t use any birth control.

After the nominations, Rachel and Jordan decided to approach Kalia/Porsche about making a deal. They talked about working together next week if they remain in the house so they can take out the two floaters (Adam/Shelly). While they didn’t exactly commit to anything, Kalia and Porsche are considering taking Rachel/Jordan off the block if they win the veto, and are hoping they could convince them to evict Adam over Shelly. Either way, they feel like they’re in a good spot regardless of who goes home this week. Soon after their conversation, all of the houseguests came together to play poker, minus Shelly who refused to participate because Rachel didn’t personally invite her.

The pivotal PoV competition will take place sometime Saturday, followed by the Power of Veto ceremony on Monday. Subscribe to this column via email or RSS feed for all the latest Big Brother 13 spoilers, including updates on the Power of Veto winner.

Here are Jeff and Daniele’s eviction interviews from CBS.com where they answered several fan questions:

Eviction Interview: Daniele

CatDraper112: What part of the game do you think was the best experience of this season?.S.- You rock!!

— Thanks! I love playing this game. Overall, the friendships I made.

MackenzieZita: How is it going to be sharing a house with Jeff and Brendon? Sounds like funn!!

— AWKWARD!

LoveeTheLiz: Do you think you will be able to have any friendships with any of your BB castmates outside of the house?

— There are only a few people I won’t be friends with. I have made genuine friendships.

lilyyangg: If you and Jeff had worked together do you think you wouldve taken out the floaters who all don’t deserve to be there?

— I tried to work with Jeff but this is where it got me. I would say all of the floaters don’t deserve to be there.

Eviction Interview: Jeff

hrich1210: What are your concerns for Jordan in the house without you?

— People taking advantage of her. That is the one thing I don’t like. Jordan’s kindness is sometimes mistaken for weakness and that gets me fired up.

heatherhump7601: Do you regret trusting shelly?

— Yes I do. I’m out and she voted me out.

lilyyangg: If you and Daniele had worked together do you think you would have taken out the floaters who all don’t deserve to be there?

— 100 percent – but I couldn’t trust Daniele to do that because all the floaters were her friends.

hannahkaylin: Big Jeff. Are you going to be friends with Shelly outside the bb house? And where is your relationship with Jordan?

— I thought I would be and I want to say that it is all just a game, but for Shelly to do something like that to me really hurts — past the game level. Right now, it stings, but we’ll see how I feel at the finale.

patandaj patandajf: LOTS of lazy floaters this summer. Who’s the worst offender? Kalia, Porsche, Shelly or Adam?

— Best floater was either Porsche or Shelly – they are equally terrible.

“Big Brother 13” airs Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday on CBS.
