Show business icon Betty White is nominated for a 2011 Emmy Award for her portrayal of ‘Elka’ on TV Land’s ‘Hot in Cleveland.’ White’s nomination is for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
White, who turns 90 in January, learned of the Emmy nomination last month. Upon hearing the news, White told ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ she was ‘really thrilled’ by the nomination.
‘It’s a dream come true for all of us to be working with an icon like Betty White every single day on ‘Hot in Cleveland. We pinch ourselves that we have the honor to work with her as well as the rest of the talented cast,’ TV Land President Larry W. Jones was quoted as saying (via marketwatch.com)
