Internationally acclaimed Dancehall deejay, Moses “Beenie Man” Davis has retrieved his U.S visa just over after a year after it was taken away for reasons unknown.
The “Rum & Redbull” deejay was amongst four prominent deejays who had their visas cancelled by the United States Embassy in Kingston in April 2010 including, Mavado, Bounty Killer & Aidonia. However, Beenie Man was issued & collected a ten year visa to the United States this morning.
Beenie Man’s news come three & a half weeks after the aforementioned singjay, Mavado was issued his United States visa. Mavado has since travelled to New York in an effort to promote his new label, Mansion Records as well as attend to projects there whilst conducting a series of interviews & press conferences. Mavado also did a song talking about allegedly referring to said achievement entitled “Fly Again” on the Keno 4 Star produced, Fly Again Riddim.
Beenie had intimated back in February that he was re-applying for a U.S visa given that he’s working on a new album and needs access to the United States to complete certain things. Beenie has worked with several American artistes such as R&B superstar, Mya, pop icon, Janet Jackson & most recently Jamaican born/New York based hip-hop superstar, Busta Rhymes on the “Rum & Redbull” remix alongside Future Fambo.
