Spartanburg County — Authorities in Greenville County have discovered that a car found on fire in their area is connected to a slain Spartanburg County teen.
Authorities in Spartanburg County have been looking for the light blue Toyota Camry that Deandre Nitique Fulton-Smith, 19, had been renting at the time of his murder. The car had been completely burned.
Fulton-Smith’s mother had last spoken to her son on Friday, July 22nd. An officer that lives in the same apartment complex went to the teen’s apartment on Saturday and Sunday in hopes of locating him. Around noon on Monday July 25th, Spartanburg County Sheriff’s office arrived at The Reserve at Park West after the property manager found the body of Fulton-Smith inside the teen’s apartment.
Fulton-Smith was known to cut people’s hair at his apartment so he could make extra money while going to school. He was a student at Spartanburg Community College where he studied business.
Authorities have chosen not to disclose how the teen died.
Spartanburg County Sheriff’s office is asking for anyone with information on the case to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC.
