The Third Annual JCT. Kitchen Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival to benefit Georgia Organics is slated for Sunday, July 17 from 1 to 5 p.m. Featured chefs will pair with local farmers to create tomato dishes and featured mixologists will concoct tomato cocktails. Festival goers and high-profile judges such as Food & Wine Restaurant Editor Kate Krader, Bon Appetit Restaurant Editor (and former Atlantan) Andrew Knowlton, CNN.com Features Editor Cybil Wallace, and food journalist Carolyn O’Neil, will vote for their favorite dishes and beverages.

Cheshire Bridge Road, one of Atlanta’s more eclectic roadways, will be home to the Third Annual Taste & Tour meant to highlight the neighborhood restaurants and high-end business with food tastings, exhibits, product samples, discounts and raffles.
This year’s event will be held July 20 and 21 and is sponsored by the Lindbergh LaVista Corridor Coalition and Public Broadcasting Atlanta.The LLCC is a non-profit corporation comprised of residents, business owners, and property owners in northeast Atlanta whose mission is to redefine and revitalize the community it serves. Net proceeds from this year’s event will be used to fund a feasibility study for the establishment of a Community Improvement District (CID) in the area.
“I’m thrilled to once again be participating in this year’s Taste & Tour,” said Kevin Gillespie, Executive Chef at Woodfire Grill and “Top Chef” Season 6 fan favorite. “Cheshire Bridge Road has so many fantastic restaurants and unique businesses, and I’m happy to be part of an event that celebrates our street’s diversity.”
Taste & Tour hours are 5 to 10:00 p.m. each day. The event will be accessible via the MARTA Lindbergh Station and bus route 27, which stops at multiple locations on Cheshire Bridge Road. Designated parking locations are at Antiques & Beyond (1853 Cheshire Bridge Road) and The Center for Spiritual Growth & Meditation (1893 Piedmont Road NE). A trolley will transport attendees along Cheshire Bridge Road with stops at several locations and within walking distance of participating businesses.
