On Saturday, July 30th from 11am-6pm, ArtSeen will debut as new twin art organization in Redondo Beach and link artwork by local artists with the surrounding local businesses in the Riviera Village.
Starting July 30th and running through August 14th artwork will be on display and available for purchase at participating businesses. However, it is only at the launch event “ArtScape” on July 30th that the public can actually view live art demonstrations by the local artists.
ArtSeen was founded by Royce Morales owner of Harmony Works, an eclectic gallery and earth-sensitive gift shop in the Riviera Village of Redondo Beach. Ms. Morales says, “I am thrilled with the caliber of artists that will be featured during this event as each one has such a unique style from painting animal portraits to creating grand scale murals throughout the city. Based on the response so far from the business and art communities, I believe that this will be the first of many ArtScape events!”
Participating ArtSeen artists include: painters Dean Bardos, Dolores Garren, Orma Hammond, Holly Medbery, Beth Mineau, Penny Noble, Deborah Pitt, David Mario Pratt, Gay Summer Rick, Gina Steiglitz, Debra Young, Suzanne Young, Julia Ward and Jianulla Zimmerman, jewelry designers Tish Pollack, Adriana Vensel and Angela Zoldos, photographer Ken Allen as well as mixed media and sculpture artist Sasha Maria Barnard.
Participating businesses displaying ArtSeen works include: Avisha Lingerie, Chez Melange, Dennee’s, Ella Boutique, Equus Custom Jewelry & Fine Arts Gallery, Euro Comfort Footwear, Eyedentity Optical, Harmony Works, Jeffrey Scott, Jonathan, Moon Dancer, M’Pressions, Renko, Tuquoise, The Village Garden, Village Pizza and Wrapsody.
A self-guided map tour will be made available to the public at Harmony Works.
“This is just a start to have visual art become a household word in the South Bay, and so far the public is very supportive of the venture,” says Ms. Morales. “I hope we will rock the town with the direction and creativity we are bringing to Redondo Beach!”
Future event plans include Dine Around Redondo and the Riviera Village Holiday Stroll.
Harmony Works is located at 1705 South Catalina Avenue in Redondo Beach, CA.
