In case you hadn’t heard (and, really, how is that even possible at this point?), director Chris Nolan is currently shooting his third and final Batman movie in Pittsburgh, PA. The Dark Knight Rises production has been shooting in and around Pittsburgh for the past few weeks, resulting in a treasure trove of spy-photos, clandestinely-shot videos of the production, and some of our first looks at the costumes featured in the film. Every day, a new batch of photos come in, and today’s no different: check out the latest photos from the Dark Knight Rises set down there on the left, my fellow Dark Knight enthusiasts…
UPDATE: If you’re just joining us here at Dark Knight HQ, we strongly suggest that you head to THIS page to get all caught up on what’s been happening with the “Batwing” story of the past few days. New video footage has arrived, and it appears the rumored-“Batwing” is now an official-“Batwing”. Every day, a new batch of photos from the Dark Knight Rises shoot (currently in production in Pittsburgh, PA, which is filling in for Gotham City…at least, some of it is) arrives online, and each day we’re unable to stop ourselves from pouring over each and every one of ’em, much like a crackhead looking for “dropped” rocks behind the sofa: surely if we just look hard enough, all the spoilers, secrets, and clues we’ve been missing will be made clear to us, right? Probably not, but if you’re a Dark Knight enthusiast, some of these photos are pretty cool.
The latest batch is over there on the left, and we’ve mixed in some photos from the latest look at the “Batwing” that arrived online earlier today. When the first photos of the “Batwing” showed up, a debate ensued as to whether or not that’s what we were actually looking at: some believed the large, metallic, clunky object seen in said photos to be a piece of one of Batman’s “Tumblers”, while others maintained that it was clearly the “Batwing” we’d all heard would be making an appearance in the film. Until THIS video arrived earlier today, though, we hadn’t been sure (we’re still not totally sure, but we’re about 90% that that is, in fact, a “Batwing”….whatever the hell a “Batwing” might be).
So, click the “Slideshow” box over there on the left to see the latest photos from the Dark Knight Rises set (along with a few of our hours-old favorites), and stay tuned for more on The Dark Knight Rises as it becomes available.
