Coon Rapids High School golfer, Andrew Vold, made the first hole-in-one of his life in May, while playing in a fundraiser at Majestic Oaks, earning a $5,000 prize to help pay for his tuition to Gustavus Adolphus College, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, 8-31-11. Though the ‘hole’ official watched the hole in one occur, congratulated Vold, and his golfing party, the official did not sign and notarize the proper certification, and it seems he will not receive his prize money. John Schierman of Chaska, owner of the Par 3 Fun Stop, and sponsor of the hole in one contest, claims “there was no hole in one.”
I have written before that the spoken and written word is very powerful and can create peace, love, and inclusiveness, or can create hate, separation, and discord. Our actions follow our thoughts. Remember the famous quote:
“Beware your thoughts; they become your words.
Beware your words; they become your actions.
Beware your actions; they become your habits.
Beware your habits; they become your nature.
Beware your nature; it becomes your destiny.”

Our individuality is something we continuously shape; it is tied to our thoughts, which then become our actions, habits, nature, and destiny. Do we want to be trusted, respected, and thought of highly, may become something we must internalize and ponder, if we choose to follow the ideals we set out for our self. As we allow questionable thoughts to enter our minds and sometimes allow a poor choice of thought to remain unchecked, we must ascertain whether we are truly following our own goals and ideals. Before we get to the path where our truth or respect is questioned, we must ponder, what we allow in our thought process. It is often very easy to allow somewhat questionable thoughts to stay in our minds, and then our words, followed by our actions must back up or justify the repercussions that follow.
When we control or censure our thoughts, inhibiting negativity, focusing on not only the positive, but living the outcome we desire in our life, we due all in our power to create a positive, fulfilling life. The love we create in thought, energy, and deed, not only increases our energy flow, allowing us to attain more insights and intuitive guidance, but also creates a positive reputation and experience for our self.
So often in this life, we are told to think of ourselves or “look out for number one.” But the simple fact is, we need to become continuously aware of our thoughts and think of the world society, what would “love” do, what would “peace” do, and what would “ethical living” do.
