Amir Khan dominated Zab Judah in their title unification bout on Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. Khan took all 4 rounds and was on his way to taking the 5th when he landed a big right hand to Judah’s stomach resulting in a KO. According to Fighthype.com, Judah complained after the fight that the punch was a low punch and insinuated that Khan didn’t deserve the win. Judah claimed that he thought he would get a standing 8 count. Unfortunately, he forgot that the rules for the fight stated that there would be no standing 8 count.
Khan stated that the punch wasn’t a low blow and said it was a clean body shot. Khan said it was right above the belt. Khan declared that Timothy Bradley is scared of him and that he is afraid to fight Amir Khan “Bradley didn’t want it, He chickened out”. Freddie Roach stated after the fight that Bradley won’t want them to fight now and said that Khan deserves a fight with Mayweather Jr.

Round by Round Recap
Round 1 – Khan comes out throwing the jab. They tie up as Khan goes for a right hand. More jabs by Khan. Judah starts looking for his punch. Another tie up as Khan goes in for a right again. Khan lands a short right after a few jabs. Judah trying to land his punch. Khan landing some big shots. Heads collide and Judah acts like he’s is hurt and blinking out o his right eye. Khan lands the jab. Judah standing his ground. 10-9 Khan
Round 2 – Both men come out to the center. Khan comes out with some punches and shows he’s quicker. Judah looks more ready to exchange punches. Judah trying to lnd the jab. Khan pushing ahead but missing. Nice short right by Judah as he gets in on the inside. Ref breaks them up. Judah back to the jab. Khan goes to the body. Right hand from Judah as he tries to counter Khan. Khan moving around as he lands the jabs. Khan works the body and they lock up. Big right by Khan and we get some dirty boxing. 10-9 Khan
Round 3 – Both men come out aggressive. Judah looks like his right eye is swelling. Dirty boxing from Judah. Khan looks quicker and more aggressive. Judah keeps tying up. Judah goes for the jab. Another ref break up. khan landing the jab as Judah locks him up again. Khan lands a nice right. Judah can’t land anything as Khan is beating him to the punch with his jab and big rights. Nice exchange between both men in the middle of the ring. Khan goes back to the body. KHan lands some big lefts as the round ends. 10-9 Khan
Round 4 – Khan continues to outwork Judah. He’s landing more punches and pushes forward. Judah is backing up. Judah keeps eating punches looking for the perfect counter punch. Khan continues to land the jab. Amir lands several combinations over the next minute. Judah has no answer. 10-9 Khan
Round 5 – Khan lands some jabs and pushes the pave. Judah trying to stand his ground and fight but he eats more punches. They tie up and the ref breaks. Judah complains about another headbutt. Blood coming from Judah’s nose. His eye looks swollen too. Khan keeps landing the jabs. Judah trying to move but eats a big left. More jabs from Khan and he lands a big right. Dirty boxing from both men until ref breaks. Judah has his mouth wide open. Khan lands a body shot and down goes Judah with a body shot. Ref counts to 10.
Amir Khan wins via KO at 2:47 of the 5th round.
This was easily Khan’s most complete performance as he dominated from the opening bell. Khan showed his improved physique, superior speed and boxing skills. He’s ready to move up to 147 and take on Floyd Jr. Hopefully, Khan and Floyd can fight in the Spring of 2012.
