A pair of low pressure systems and associated cold fronts will move through the region today, the second one bringing a round of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Some of the stronger storms could contain an isolated damaging wind gust and some small hail. High pressure will then build into the region tonight with a period of cooler and drier weather into the beginning of the weekend. The second half of the weekend looks rather wet.
