For all you urban cowboys and cowgirls who enjoy roughing it up in style, here’s a great escape to consider when you feel like getting away from the traffic congestion of Los Angeles, and perhaps give shopping on Beverly Hill’s Rodeo Drive or Beverly Center a rest for awhile. Even the LA Travel Diva Examiner would consider this deal–and darlings, she lives her luxury.
This fall from October 3-7, Montana’s newest luxury guest ranch, The Ranch at Rock Creek, is offering a chance for all you wanna be cow pokes to learn how to cook while enjoying the wonderful outdoors.
The Cookbook Camp, led by the property’s executive chef and Montana native, Josh Drage allows guests to check out each evening’s meal preparations and join in spirited discussions following the night’s four-course menu, which is paired with wines by the Ranch’s resident Mixologist and wine expert, Tony Ardisson. Every participant gets a custom keepsake copy of The Ranch at Rock Creek Cookbook.
The Ranch cuisine attempts to reflect its pure surroundings by showcasing local ingredients like prime organic beef, elk, bison, free-range chicken, organic eggs, fresh fish, seasonal local fruits, vegetables and fresh herbs, all enhanced by an inspired wine list. Chef Josh Drage is expert working with recipes like Montana elk ribeye with Flathead cherry demi-glace, watermelon and fennel salad, and homemade huckleberry milkshakes.
The Cookbook Camp package features four all inclusive* nights in luxurious accommodations, daily children’s programs and all activities, including horseback riding, wildlife watching, fly fishing, paintball, archery, clay pigeon shooting, guided hikes, mountain biking and more. Also included are activities at the Ranch’s own Silver Dollar Saloon, such as billiards, darts, ping pong, shuffleboard, karaoke, bowling and movies on a 14-foot HD screen.
