Debut Paranormal romance author Rosalie Lario spent a few years in theTampa area, and makes her home now in Central Florida. Aside from her hard work as a legal eagle, she has been hard at work this summer, promoting her debut piece For Love of an Angel, but she sat down with us recently to introduce herself, and let us bring you this latest Conversation….
Thanks for taking the time to talk to us today Rosalie, care to tell us a little about yourself?
Rosalie Lario: I am a legal instructor and recovering lawyer, and the author of two different paranormal romance series. Blood of the Demon, Book One of the DEMONS OF INFERNUM series, releases on August 2, 2011 through Entangled Publishing. This series features four half-demon brothers living in New York City and working as inter-dimensional bounty hunters. For Love of An Angel, Book One of THE FALLEN WARRIORS series, is available now on Amazon, BN.com, and Smashwords. It features fallen angels battling the extinction of humankind.
And would you mind giving us a tidbit about your novella For Love of An Angel?
Rosalie Lario: Sure! Here’s the blurb:
In a world where angels rule over humans, twelve outcasts dare to defy expectation, warring with their angel brethren to prevent the extinction of humankind.
They are The Fallen…
Michael is one of twelve angels who have been outcast due to their determination to protect humans. In order to preserve his immortality and strength, he must find a mate with angel blood. Eva Smyth has never believed the propaganda spouted by the Consortium—the elite system of guards put into place once angels took over reign of Earth—but she never expected to learn the angels plan to eradicate all of humankind, or that she herself is part angel. Joining Michael means living a life on the run, at war against the angels and hunted by the Consortium. Eva must decide whether to risk it all…for love of an angel.

What inspired Michael, Eva and their story?
Rosalie Lario: I was taking a break from writing my DEMONS OF INFERNUM series, and I thought how fun it would be to write about fallen angels. But I wanted my angels to be a race of beings from another dimension rather than biblical creatures. That was how For Love of an Angel was born.
This novella is quite unique in its mixture of post-apocalyptic/paranormal elements. What inspired you to blend those genres?
Rosalie Lario: It wasn’t anything intentional. Once I decided my angels would be from another dimension, all the other elements of the story just sort of fell into place.
What’s on tap next for you? Any new manuscripts in the works, currently?
Rosalie Lario: Blood of the Demon, Book One of the DEMONS OF INFERNUM series, releases on August 2. Mark of the Sylph, Book Two in that series, releases in October. Book Three will release in December, a novella based in the same world on January 2012, and Book Four in July 2012. As for THE FALLEN WARRIORS, I’m in the process of completing Angel’s Desire, Book Two in the series, and hope to have that story out within the next few months. (Whew, there’s a lot going on. :))
It seems so!
And now, the obligatory, what advice do you have for budding Romance authors?
Rosalie Lario: My biggest advice is to take criticism with a grain of salt. In this industry, criticism is necessary for growth, but since our stories tend to be so close to our heart, it’s easy to grow dejected. Not everyone will see the value in your story, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any. If you really believe in your story and know that you want to pursue a career as an author, don’t let anything hold you back.
Sage advice, that. Lastly, do you have any final thoughts for our readers?
Rosalie Lario: If you’re into action-packed stories featuring sexy paranormal creatures, check out one of my series. They’re quick, fun reads.
