Pastor Bob Caldwell, from Calvary Chapel in Boise, Idaho last Sunday gave a great sermon on the Apostle Paul and prayer related to life today. Calvary Chapel began in Boise in 1981 with 15 people who regularly met in an upstairs room above a shoe store. Today the church has grown to several ministries and services held on Saturday nights at 6:00 pm, Sundays 9:15 am, 11:15 am. and Wednesday nights 6:30pm. The growth is so large that this church also accommodates a Sunday night 7:30 pm service for college students and young adults. Pastor Bob reminds us to pray, know, and love God as Paul did in his ministry. I enjoyed hearing Pastor Bob’s sermon “Paul and Prayer,” and really appreciated how he directly connected prayer back to heaven. What a wonderful ministry Calvary Chapel has here in Boise, they have a book store, a cafe, and they even offer a shuttle service for those who cannot commute to services. God is leading this ministry to building a newer and larger facility, and I know God will bless them with further success as they rise and build!
I smile every time I think about when I would commute to Boise for work, and would hear Pastor Bob Caldwell on the radio. I enjoyed listening to his sermons for many years because he speaks from the bible. How wonderful to know that we now have the blessing of watching his podcasts online as well! God bless your ministry Pastor Bob, and all your church family! It is a blessing when you see any church growing, especially when new buildings have to be considered because of overflow. I do believe that when this occurs in any ministry that God is blessing above and beyond, and we see Ephesians 3:20 at work! I have enjoyed attending and learning from many ministries and teachings and hope that you feel blessed by my writing about these place and experiences. God wants you to open your eyes, hearts, and minds when it comes to getting to know him better. Get yourself into a good bible based church and fellowship with other believers, God is very excited about where He is going to take and lead you! If you are not to that point in life, get yourself a bible and begin there I know God will do the rest in where He leads you!.
I certainly agree that when we pray that our prayers are a conduit to heaven, and I know that when I pray that heaven hears me. If you are new to building a relationship with “The Living God,” then let me assure you that your prayers will not go unheard. In the world we live in with chaos, financial stress, sickness, and poverty, God is looking over us and closely watching who is praying and looking for Him. All of heaven knows who you are when you are looking for God and praying! God is on your side, and He reminds you that He loves you and wants to hear more from you! Prayer is your conduit to heaven and God Himself. I am praying for you, and always know I want you to stay blessed and in His favor!
