And this, is why parents should always teach their children that throwing rocks at passing vehicles is never safe. A 16-year-old San Diego boy was shot in the gut with a crossbow after he and some pals purposely threw rocks at a passing car, according to police.
The shirtless teen is to remain unidentified because of his age, but according to police he & his friends threw rocks at a passing black Toyota RAV4 at around 2:15 p.m on Monday, when a passenger pulled out a crossbow and fired
police told the San Diego Union Tribune.
The bolt – the deadly projectile fired by crossbows – pierced the boy in the right side of his belly, cops said.
The teen was taken to a hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries, the newspaper said. His name was not released.
