Paul Wesley has started to pick up a few roles here and there thanks to “The Vampire Diaires,” and now he has just been offered a part in one of the most memorable Shakesperean stories of all time.
According to Variety, Wesley has been offered the role of Count Paris in the upcoming adaptation of “Romeo & Juliet.” For those of you who are unfamiliar with the story, the Count is one of Juliet’s other suitors, and is known for being “stone”-like and thus rather cold to be around.
The cast for this movie is coming together — with Hailee Steinfeld playing Juliet and “Gossip Girl” star Ed Westwick also on board to play Tybalt. (Douglas Booth has already been tapped to play Romeo.)
