Former Journey vocalist Steve Perry isn’t exactly the hardest working man in show business these days. His last solo album was 1994’s For the Love of Strange Medicine, and his last full-length studio effort was Journey’s Trial By Fire in 1996. Since then he has mostly laid low, performing an occasional guest vocal for artists like Street Sweeper Social Club and former Ambrosia singer David Pack.
Melodic Rock reported last week that Perry will appear on Follow the Freedom, the upcoming solo album from ex-Antigone Rising singer Cassidy. The album is due in the fall, and Perry not only provided his voice for the title track, he was also involved in mixing the album.
Though he is mostly retired from public performance, Perry has hinted in recent years that he might eventually release another solo album.
