FAWN GROVE – Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a man who robbed a York County bank at gunpoint Tuesday morning.
He entered M&T Bank at 4 S. Market Street in Fawn Grove at approximately 10:44 a.m., then brandished a black revolver and demanded money, according to a statement issued by state police spokesperson Trooper Tom Pinkerton.
“At that time he made several demands for tellers to give any amount of cash,” said Trooper Pinkerton. “He was able to make off with an undisclosed amount of cash.”
No one was hurt during the robbery but there were three workers and two customers inside. Police say the suspect was carrying a blue duffel bag and at this point they are still trying to determine how he got away.
The robber is described as a white man between 40 and 50 years old, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. He had collar-length dark hair with a salt-and-pepper goatee.
Police said he was wearing sunglasses, light-colored blue jeans and a blue and white striped shirt.
Anyone recognizing the robber or with any other information about the incident is asked to call the state police in York at (717) 268-1011.
