For Sunday, July 17th 2011 LA TV Insider Examiner recommends:
Food Network Star (FOOD, 9pm) – “Dinner Party for Wolfgang Puck” – The remaining contestants prepare what they consider their signature dishes for the judges, and then Wolfgang Puck himself shows up at the house for dinner.
True Blood (HBO, 9pm) – “I’m Alive and on Fire” – Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Alcide (Joe Manganiello) search for Eric (Alexander Skarsgard); Jason (Ryan Kwanten) pleads for his freedom; Tommy (Marshall Allman) gets back to his roots; Bill (Stephen Moyer) finds something in common with the Bellefleurs; and Sam (Sam Trammell) tries to learn more about Luna.
The Glee Project (OXY, 9pm) – “Pairability” – Darren Criss returns as mentor for the week when the remaining contestants are asked to pair up and perform duets. Most of them are so annoying and grating, you know this can’t end in anything but fakeness and bitchery, but the things we do for Criss…
The Protector (Lifetime, 10pm) – “Revisions” – Gloria (Ally Walker) and Michelle (Tisha Campbell-Martin) look into the death of a plastic surgeon who was killed in his home, and Gloria’s ex returns to tie up some loose ends regarding his family. Emmanuelle Vaugier guest stars, as we first reported weeks ago.
Falling Skies (TNT, 10pm) – “Sanctuary Part 1” – In what is sure to be an epic, slight re-launch of the series that is only halfway through its first season, a new resistance leader appears at the camp, alerting the others that the aliens will soon attack and offering to take the children to safety. But the motives are anything but pure, and this new person is anything but a confidante. Oh, the things we do to save our own!
What will you watch??
