It appears that Juan Manuel Marquez is in agreement with trainer Freddie Roach that this fight will end in a knockout. Roach is pushing his star fighter Manny Pacquiao to KO Marquez once and for all. However, Marquez has plans of his own as he wants to KO Manny. On Friday, Marquez made the following comments about the November 12th fight with Manny, according to the Spanish newspaper ESTO: “(Either) I knock him out (or I get) knocked out”
Mayweather Jr. insists Shane Mosley told him to get Manny Pacquiao tested
The majority of boxing fans and critics believe that Pacquiao will easily win this Trilogy fight. The betting odds already has Manny as an 8-to-1 favorite. Despite the overwhelming opinion that Pacquiao will win, Manny has maintained that Marquez is a tough opponent and will not be overconfident.
This fight will definitely be more entertaining than Manny’s last 3 fights where his opponents were overwhelmed and put on some of the worse performances of their careers. In May, Mosley ran away for 9 rounds; in November 2010, Margarito had no answer; and in March 2010, Clottey covered up the whole fight.
Marquez is determined to come in there and fight Manny and is not afraid of him. Marquez fought Pacquiao in 2004 to a draw and 2008 when he lost by split decision. Both fights ended in controversy. Juan has been begging for another fight against Manny and now that he has it, Marquez declares that he will do everything he can to win the fight. I expect a toe-to-toe battle that could be a fight of the year candidate if it lasts more than 7 rounds.
