Owensboro, Kentucky – Today a chocolate Labrador Retriever sits patiently in the high-kill animal shelter of Daviess County Animal Control. Named Buck by his immediate rescuers, this dog is in dire need of a rescue, foster, or permanent home who will step up and save him before it is too late.
Buck is a medium, adult male who was thought to have been hit by a car. During his examination with a veterinarian today, however it has been discovered that Buck has been a victim of a gun shot wound to his elbow and groin area.
This friendly pooch is in danger of being euthanized. The shelter, although it does not want to destroy any animals is short of space.
Volunteers are actively posting to their friends, businesses, and all humane advocates to find a responsible party who will help this friendly dog find his way into a better, healthier and happy life.
Even if you can not help, please send Buck’s message to your friends via Facebook or any social networks you might use. Let’s save a life today.
Buck’s identification # is 1107-1734 Brown/Chocolate Labrador mix
