“We make a conscious effort not to just write riffs,” said Orlando musician, Shane Bryant, lead vocalist for I Will Break Thee. “We make sure that every piece of music conveys the emotion we want it to. We also mix in some of the old school metal vibe with a modern edge.”
Bryant cites musical influences from classic rock and metal acts AC/DC, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Petty, and the Beatles, through Metallica, Deftones, Marilyn Manson, Coal Chamber, and Fear Factory.
With his songwriting, Bryant tries to find ways to express himself that gives him common ground with his listeners. “I write music and lyrics. Life experiences give me the inspiration. I take things that I have seen and been through, and try to relay them in a manner that everyone can relate to.”
“The biggest thing for me is I just want people to be able to put on our CD anytime they need a release and use our music to help them.”
As a guitarist his style varies depending upon the vibe he is trying to create. “My style can be anywhere from slow and sludgy to melodic, or fast with a southern swag.”
The band, Shane Bryant (vocals), Justin Lunsford (guitar), Rafiq Basaria (guitar), Marc Sugarman (keyboards), Jared Golden (bass), and Daniel Blume (drums) has a lot of plans for their future together. “We should be doing some touring towards the end of the year, and I am currently working on new concepts for the next CD,” said Bryant.
The Orlando metal band is about to release their debut EP Welcome To My Kingdom, in the meantime fans can check them out on their official site, You Tube channel, Face book, and Twitter pages. Their songs “Irony of Humanity,” “Welcome to My Kingdom,” and “Bloodguilt” can be streamed on their Reverbnation page.
