On Wednesday, “Glee” co-creator Ryan Murphy made the sad news rather official in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter — after season three is done, Cory Monteith, Lea Michele, and Chris Colfer (three of the most prominent members of the cast) will all be gone due to graduating. (There could still be more joining them.)
While many fans knew this was coming, it still sent some shockwaves of sadness into the hearts of Gleeks everywhere — which prompted Lea Michele to post a message on Twitter to everyone sending her comments:
“We always knew we’d graduate in real time. It’s all part of the plan and it’s all good! It’s going to make Season 3 amazing!!! To Gleeks everywhere, you’re in my heart now and forever. Love u all!!! This is just the beginning!!”
Although we don’t know for sure what will happen to Michele’s Rachel Berry, the outcome many seem to want would be for her (along with Finn and maybe Kurt) to all travel to New York to pursue their dreams. However, not everything in real life ends in a tight little bow, so anything is still possible.
