Capcom is known for their Mega Man games. A highly anticipated sequel to Mega Man Legends 2, MML3 was planned for a release on the 3DS. In the past Capcom said they would never blame fans for the cancellation of one of their games. Capcom Europe used Twitter to field questions about the cancellation of the title from disappointed Mega Man fans. A tweet made by Capcom states that they blame fans for MML3’s cancellation.
“it’s a shame the fans didn’t want to get more involved :-( if we saw there was an audience for MML3 people might change minds”
I find this to be in poor taste. Capcom knows how popular the Mega Man fan base is today. It is a time honored classic among platformers next to Mario. To put the blame on the fans is just pathetic. This will only hurt the company as I know MML3 would have been a bit hit. My respect for Capcom has died a little.
