Although School starts in a few weeks, there is still time to get the fashion necessities needed for fall. This weekend Washington D.C. offers some very nice and free events, what is there better to do then finish up school shopping? Unfortunately, The District is not participating in the Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday this year. However, Virginia’s Back-to-School Holiday runs from Aug. 5 through the 7 for clothing and footwear over $100. Maryland’s Holiday begins the 14 and runs through the 20, with clothing and footwear purchases greater than $100. Fortunately, both Virginia and Maryland are metro accessible and even across the street depending on your location.
Virginia has many shopping malls and centers to visit this weekend. Check out Tysons, both the Galleria and the Corner for great savings.
Tysons Galleria has 7 for all Mankind, which is not only the number one denim supplier in the U.S. but they are very reasonable. In addition to the No Sales Tax Holiday there are a few stores that have an additional saving this weekend. Juicy Couture is offering an additional 20% off the entire purchase for their new fall collection. Basier is offering 50% with and additional 20% on all their Spring/summer collection. J. Crew is offering 15% to students and teachers who show their ids with a purchase.
Tysons Corner also had additional savings this weekend. The Loft hosts their family and friends sale, 15% off when you spend $125 and more at Bebe, H&M is having BOGO (buy one, get one) on blouses and dresses and J Jill invites everyone to shop their fall sale. With the many stores in Tysons Corner and Tysons Galleria go out, have fun and save money this tax free weekend. Enjoy.
