Alright people lets figure out what we’re doing this weekend-
Friday 7/29 at The Launch Pad we have a night of groovy times. We have four bands (TheBig Spank, The Blue Hornets, Eleven Eleven, The Reagan Motels and Baracutanga) who are ALL LOCAL BANDS, providing us with some great Ska jams. It’s an ALL AGE SHOW so seriously get yourself cleaned up and watch the f**king profanity people, there’s kids around. Doors open at 9pm ALL AGES
Right up the street at Burts Tiki Lounge we also have,”ROCK-TASTROPHIE!!!” with Shoulder Voice, Red Light Cameras and Kalima. This will be an evening of styles. Shoulder voices with their self-described”Fantasy Death Pop!” (4th State of Matter, For Such A Pretty Girl), RLC with their Rock Soul (Juice, Liar and Home) and Kalima with their version of Hard Metal (Fade Away, Murder). Kind of like enjoying a colorful strong mixed drink, then downing some local good pilsner ale and then finishing it all with a double shot of something illegal. Starting at 9pm
Saturday 7/30 there’s a few spots that show some potential for some good times.
First at Burts Tiki Lounge we have Leeches of Lore, Dead on Point 5 and Skulldron. Good time will be had by all. I’ve read some amazing reviews regarding Leeches of Lore and their show so I’m interested to see how the Metal Rock group performs. All three bands are locals so that gives it more reason to go out and subject yourself to their punishment. Remember to bring the bandages and medication but leave it in the car for after the show. Starts at 9pm
The Metal SAGA continues with the El Rey Theatre hosting ACRASSICAUDA from NY. I heard about this band from the flick, “Heavy Metal in Baghdad”. These guys are hardcore and will seriously leave you blind, deaf and dumb (if you’re into to that sort of thing) by the end of the show. A full night of music with 6 additional bands so come early to check out the full line up. Door open at 7:30pm ALL AGES
Low Spirits Bar and Stage we have a Rockabilly- Grassroots Rock filled evening. The HI-LO Tones (I’m Coming Home), The Quality Retreads and Flashback Cadillac’s. I’m digging this line up because its sure to bring all the beautiful Betty’s and smooth hep cats out for a good rocking time. I can’t dance for nothing but these bands make it fun to just chill, listen to some great music and admire all the sexy people swinging about the dance floor. Doors open at 9pm (21/over)
On Sunday (Yes I said Sunday) we have Gorilla Battle of the Bands at the Launchpad with 2nd Sun, Oswal, KnucklezDeep, Die As You Fall, Make This Count, Discrepancy, Gnarly Slur and Written in Stone. COME OUT AND SUPPORT!! You never know, your next favorite sticker could be from one of these bands. Doors open at 4pm show starts at 5pm all ages.
